For example. if your bust is measured at 39", you may choose size M (garment bust at 40"). You may add a pin between the button gap to secure the bust area if you choose a more fitting silhouette.
If you prefer a semi-loose standard fitting and your bust is measured at 39", you may choose size L. The bust area will fit nicely since there is sufficient allowance for size L (garment bust at 42"). If you prefer a slightly tapered waist, add a safety pin behind the center back without alteration.
